Video Reading & Giveaway: Hilary McKay’s The Casson Family Series

We’re really excited to exclusively reveal the covers for the re-jacketed editions of Hilary Mckay’s Casson Family books, which are available from March 18th 2021.

This week, Macmillan Children’s Books has reissued Hilary McKay’s award-winning and hilarious Casson Family series with stunning new covers by Helen Crawford-White. The series, most suitable for ages 9-12, has Hilary’s trademark focus on family and friendship with the humour and warmth that only Hilary brings to a story. Readers who have recently enjoyed The Skylarks’ War will be thrilled to discover the six stories in the Casson Family series.

The first book in the series, Saffy’s Angel, won the 2002 Whitbread Prize. We’re thrilled to share with you a video of Hilary reading the first chapter, to give you a flavour of the stories.
