This is a book for anyone who is fascinated by science. It provides the reader with some of the fundamental requirements of being a scientist such as setting up your own laboratory and how to keep safe. The book explains some of the equipment you will need on how to conduct an experiment from predictions and estimations to gathering and recording data. The book then looks at twenty five famous scientists from many different fields of science. It gives the reader some information about the scientist, what they discovered and the impact their discoveries had on the world today. The book covers scientists like Isaac Newton, Nikola Tesla, Rosalind Franklin and Stephen Hawking plus many more. It looks at gravity, fossils, electricity, volcanoes, heart beats, back holes and so many different science topics. Once you have read about these fantastic scientists there is also a detailed explanation of an experiment that you can do at home linked to the topic.

This is a wonderfully illustrated book for any child that is interested in science and wishes to conduct their own experiments. It would potentially be for years 4-6 as there is a it of complex language for the children to process and follow on the instructions.
