Our Review Panel says...

A trio of unlikely school friends – Arun, Donna and Sam – find themselves in the middle of a mission to rescue Arun’s father after he has been kidnapped. All is not as it seems when they find out that he had also secretly been working on a classified project which is now at risk of falling into the wrong hands. Working together to concoct intricate plans to prevent this from happening, the children end up involved in a series of dangerous situations, including a high speed car chase! With short chapters that get straight into the action, this book will be particularly popular with those children who may find books with a lot of world building more challenging. The chapters do have multiple perspectives which allows children to understand how all of the pieces of the story fit together and gives a more well rounded view of how the characters interact with one another. Arun’s determination to save his father, Donna’s fearlessness and ability to overcome adversity, and Sam’s tech savvy personality will make them popular with readers. This new series would be perfect for those who love Alex Rider and it will be interesting to see how the series progresses.
