A humorous tale about the main character (a ghost-like creature) who is insistent that they want everything until their friend gives them a number of examples such as a big hungry lion or infinity mushy peas. Throughout the book they decide that actually wanting everything is not as good as it sounds and change their mind completely. Towards the end of the book, they decide that actually they don’t want anything at all, until their companion reminds them of the fun and happy things about in life, including friendship. The book would appeal to younger readers in EYFS or KS1 and could be used as a PSED activity stimulus. The eye-catching illustrations and repeated text make it a full addition to the classroom. It could also be used as a talking point for likes and dislikes and how we don’t need material things to feel good.
