This story focuses on a thirteen-year-old girl called Amelia. She is often bullied and considers herself unpopular at her school. Her dad coaches the local baseball team, and this brings her into contact with the local boys, including Evan, whom she falls head over heels in love with. Evan ignores Amelia in school but begins a relationship with her out of school. This has significant negative consequences for Amelia, as Evan encourages her to do things she knows aren’t right.
