Natasha Yim Books

This is a book that will really engage younger audiences. The story is fun, the illustrations are bright and vivid and there is a lot of learning about the Lunar New Year and the history behind it. The story follows a family preparing for and taking part in their Lunar New Year celebrations. It explains in a really engaging way why there are certain traditions – why is red a lucky colour? Why are bangers and fireworks part of the celebration? What is the story behind the dragon and lion dances? These are all explained in a clear and concise way. There are activities included in the book as well so it’s great for supporting learning for the Lunar New Year.
