A Day in the Life of Fossils, Fire and Other Fantastic Finds gives a sweeping journey through the history of discovery in comic book form.

The subjects are wildly and wonderfully diverse in scope and scale. As the introduction states, you can jump in anywhere. Each page tells its own story of a discovery. As with the previous titles in the A Day in the Life series (such as A Day in the Life of an Astronaut, Mars and the Distant Stars and A Day in the Life of a Poo, A Gnu and You), this book stretches the brain in many directions. The examples are drawn from across the sciences, geography and history, and the appealing short-form bursts of information are great for opening windows to new potential interests.

The comic strip format blends well with the jokes that break up the facts. It’s fun and informative, and would be great for social reading times.

This 60 page book is bursting with accessible information! A great read, which will certainly hook children into reading lots of fascinating science information.

This non-fiction book covers a wide range of topics covered throughout the Science National Curriculum to engage and support children with new learning. This colourful book will engage readers from age 7 and beyond. Although set out in a fun and light-hearted comic strip layout the book contains lots of science vocabulary with visuals to support understanding and recognises famous scientists for their work.

Each double-page spread covers the topic interestingly and succinctly to ensure children will not be overfaced with information. This would be great to complete as a shared read at the start of a science lesson in class for teachers too!

Part of a series this physics book features short, funny comic strips that explain a process or aspect of science. Around the strips, diagrams and panels further expand on the information for the topic. They are a fantastic way to engage children with science and each page is an excellent learning tool for parents and teachers

A new contemporary series from Lisa Williamson about an ordinary class of kids with extraordinary stories – teamed up with the hilarious and award-winning illustrator, Jess Bradley. The first book follows Lola going from primary to secondary school with her best friend.

Agent Moose and Owlfred are back and better than ever!

Strange flash floods are making waves all over the Big Forest! When Madame HQ is nabbed right out of a very wet Woodland HQ, Agent Moose and Owlfred must wade through clues to get her back and stop the mystery criminal making a big splash in Big Forest!

Can they find this fiendish villain before Big Forest floats away?

Perfect for fans of Dog Man and Bunny vs Monkey.

Laughs on every page!

This colourful, cartoon-style reference book brings facts to life with humour and fun illustrations. Following on from the enormous success of its award-winning predecessors, this latest book in the ‘Day in the Life Of..’ series is packed full of information and facts about space, presented in an entertaining comic style that is a joy to read.

Readers will enjoy the variety of scientific information, which felt like a balanced view of different areas, including science, technology, astronomy and the history of space travel. This would be a great book for children who love a highly visual element to what they read. Readers could dip in and out of the various topics individually, or teachers could choose sections to share as a class when exploring related topics. When added to a classroom library, this series is sure to be in high demand during independent reading time.

Meet Anonymoose – the best (worst) secret agent in the Big Forest. Along with Owlfred, his slightly more intelligent sidekick, this giant master of disguise has dedicated himself to solving all of Woodland HQ’s mysteries!

But this mystery is even more important than normal. Anonymoose’s rival, Camo Cameleon, is being given a trophy for being the first agent to solve 100 cases – an honor that Anonymoose just barely missed out on! – and Anonymoose is sure that something fishy is going on.

The clock’s ticking and it’s up to Anonymoose and Owlfred to find Terrace the Missing Turtle before Camo steals Anonymoose’s title of the Best Secret Agent in the Woods!

If you’ve ever wanted to know what a panda does all day long, how your heart manages to shift all that blood around your body or what makes a rainbow shine, you’ve come to the right book.

A Day in the Life of a Poo, a Gnu and You features the answers to all of these questions and many more, all told in a super-fun comic book format in three awesome sections: Human Body, Animal Kingdom and Earth and Science. A Day in the Life… is packed with facts, laughs and amazing illustrations you can dive into all day long.

Meet your grumpy liver that has to do practically EVERYTHING; your trusty hands that are very, well, handy; the spiky porcupines ready to charge; lonely Mars rovers abandoned on the Red Planet; raging tornadoes ready to rip through the pages of the book and bubbly volcanoes ready to blow.

All entries are told in the fun, friendly and informative style of Mike Barfield, and are brought to life by the colour-explosion of Jess Bradley’s awesome illustrations.

Andy wishes that he had *awesome powers*, like the heroes of his homemade comic stories. But instead, he’s stuck in the real world, where he has an annoying little brother, a super-weird teacher … and everyone says he’s a total dweeb.

Then one day, he discovers an oversized, glowing pencil on a school trip to the local toxic waste dump. He starts sketching and finds that he can redraw reality.

Now, thanks to the power of doodling, Andy can bring to life anything that he can imagine, erase his problems, and doodle his way of sticky situations. He’s not just a dweeb … he’s a SUPER DWEEB! Even Mona, the ice-cool new girl at school, seems impressed.

But there’s a twist in the tale.. because everything goes very wrong when little brother Oscar does some doodling of his own. Now there’s a scribble monster on the loose! Run for it, Andy!

The first of the hilarious new Super Dweeb series, this unpredictable, anarchic adventure story will have kids rolling on the floor. Featuring comic-strip-style storytelling in full-colour, this short book is perfect for readers aged 7-9.
