As a teacher in a primary school, we are well aware of the vulnerability of the children as they start to progress towards UKS2 and the transition to secondary school. At a time when change is inevitable, children often find this time challenging, particularly surrounding friendships. The After School Crime Club is an excellent book to support conversations regarding making the right choices, the impact of peer pressure and wanting to fit in, as well as dealing with grief or loneliness. It is written in a relatable style and therefore the message is likely to be more impactful. A great addition to a school library.
