G.O.A.T is a funny and energetic short graphic novel that would be the perfect choice for young readers. The text follows Goat, who arrives at Harmony Farm determined to make his mark. He introduces himself to the other animals as the Greatest of All Time and is not shy about sharing his many talents, which is not well received by the other animals. It soon becomes clear that he his claims are very exaggerated and he is perhaps not as perfect at everything as he thinks!

Although the story is chaotic and full of silliness and fun, it explores themes of belonging, self-confidence, acceptance and the importance of being yourself. The format and illustrations will help to maintain interest and the minimal text would make it the perfect choice for reluctant or less-confident readers. This book would be the perfect addition to a library or graphic novel collection for younger pupils.
