Author & Illustrators
This is the picture book story of a Stone Age child who makes friends with a wild beast, against the family’s wishes.
It is inspired by the discovery in France of a child’s footprint alongside a dog’s pawprint in a cave.
There are pleasant illustrations to help the understanding of the story, and a really useful part at the end, all about Stone Age survival skills, to help with the topic. This will be a helpful addition to the class library, particularly for younger or less confident readers to engage with the Stone Age history topic.
Tizz and Ott are drawing themselves an adventure! They doodle, splodge, scribble and zig-zag their way through a scary storm and safely home again. This an ideal book to explore all kinds of mark making with young children. The bright, appealing pictures, created in different mediums from paint to crayon to coloured pencil inspire readers to create their own visual stories alongside Tizz and Ott. A step-by-step drawing lesson at the back of the book shows how to draw the characters and make a big mess too!
